The jury has been appointed for this year’s Eurobuild Awards in Architecture

5 September 2017

Eurobuild Central & Eastern Europe can finally announce the identities of those who are to adjudicate the nominations for the Eurobuild Awards 2017. The jury will comprise two groups of experts: one made up of architects and the other of investors/developers. The chairman of the jury is Grzegorz Stiasny, who represents the Association of Polish Architects [SARP]. Marek Szeniawski, the secretary of the Association of Polish Architects, will be responsible for the integrity of the vote. The jury will include professionals with extensive experience in design and real estate projects, who are themselves innovators and trend-setters in architecture, and who are also notable for their vision and the passion they bring to their profession. The members of the jury will be: Ewa Kuryłowicz (Kuryłowicz & Associates), Tomasz Konior (Konior Studio), Szymon Wojciechowski (APA Wojciechowski), Agnieszka Kalinowska-Sołtys (SARP/APA Wojciechowski), Rafał Schurma (PLGBC, Visio Architects), Wojciech Grabianowski (RKW Architects +), Karol Fiedor (CDF Architekci), Batłomiej Kisielewski (Horizone Studio), Marek Dunikowski (DDJM), Michał Skotnicki (BBI Development), Kinga Nowakowska (Capital Park), Krzysztof Giemza (Echo Investment), Przemysław Krych (Griffin Group), Mieczysław Godzisz (Hines), Maciej Zajdel (Kulczyk Silverstein Properties) and Arkadiusz Rudzki (Skanska Property Poland).
The assessment of the competition entries will be carried out in two stages. In the first stage, the voting will take place on September 6th and will result in the drawing up of a short-list of the three best projects in each category. The architects on the jury will be solely responsible for this stage of the process. The second stage, which will take place on September 13th, is when the eventual winners will be selected and this time representatives of investors and developers will also take part in the vote. The mission of the jury is to recognise the projects that have made their mark in the last year. “We are confident that the composition of this year’s jury will ensure that the debate will be conducted as an objective discussion. We believe that the competition will celebrate those innovative and unconventional projects that have changed the landscapes of Polish cities and towns. We all have our own favourite candidates, but I am curious to see how the jury members will evaluate each of the individual entries,” commented Katarzyna Matejuk, the conference and events director of Eurobuild Conferences.
