If you are a biking enthusiast, then you should mark this date in your diary: Friday, September 8th! On this day you are invited to take part in a cycle ride along the streets of Warsaw. The event is to inaugurate the Festival of Architecture, which is to take place on September 20th.
There will be two starting points for the ride, one in front of the Crown Point office building (ul. Prosta 70), the Polish HQ of the project’s sponsor – Immofinanz. The other starting point will be revealed in due course.
The cyclists will get together at 4:30 pm on September 8th. Office outfits are welcome but not an absolute necessity.
Both routes of the ride are to end on the Vistula embankment, where a meeting will then take place with Marlena Happach, the director of Warsaw’s Architecture and Spatial Planning Department, who will speak to us about the projects planned and other activities related to cycle traffic in Warsaw. After this, there will be time to discuss our conclusions and to talk about the ride in an informal atmosphere.
You do not have to own a bicycle to take part in the ride – cycles provided by the sponsor, Immofinanz, will be waiting for you at the starting points.
