REGULATIONS FOR THEEUROBUILD AWARDS FOR ARCHITECTURE 2018
THE ORGANISER
The Organiser of the event is Eurobuild Conferences, part of Eurocee Sp. z o.o.,which has its registered office at ul. Sarmacka 13/92 in Warsaw and is the publisher of bilingual monthly magazine ‘Eurobuild CEE’.
THE AIM OF THE COMPETITION
The aim of the competition is to recognise the creators of the best architectural designs for commercial and public buildings realised and put into operation in Poland in 2017. The buildings should be characterised by the high quality of theirarchitecture, by integrating well with their surroundings, their functionality, and the applicationof an eco-friendly and energy-efficientapproach that contributes both to the quality of life and of the use of the building.

- Revalorization of the Year
- Workspace Solution of the Year
- Eco- and User-friendly Facility of the Year
- Public Space of the Year
- Shopping Centre of the Year
- Residential Development of the Year
The Organiser reserves the right to change the ranking categories, e.g. to combine or separate them and/or extend them into other categories and/or remove some categories.
TERMS OF PARTICIPATION AND PROJECTENTRY
- The competition is addressed to architects, architectural studios, public administration bodies and investors.
- The competition is open, i.e. the Organiser will choose candidates for the individual categories but entries can also be made that are not including on the Organiser’s list. Companies/institutions are requested to enter their own projects or the projects of other companies for individual categories via the architecture.eurobuildconferences.com website. The Organiser reserves the right to reject entries and will provide a justification for the decision in such a case (e.g. a failure to comply with the participation criteria for the given category).
- In order to enter a project, companies will be requested to fill in an electronic application form on the architecture.eurobuildconferences.com website. On the registration form companies will be asked to provide some basic information about the project and attach appropriate photos, visualisations or projections.
- Participation in the competition does not involve any costs or fees. Project nomination entitles the architects/design studios of the project to obtain free entry to the Architecture Festival.
- The Organiser permits the entry of more than one project designed by one company for a given category.
- The list of the projects nominated for the individual categories will appear on the architecture.eurobuildconferences.com website.
THE JURY
- The jury will be made up of commercial market representatives (ten representatives of investors and developers) as well as ten architects, including representatives of the Association of Polish Architects [SARP].
- The list of jury members is open andwill be published on the architecture.eurobuildconferences.com website. The Organiser will choosethe jury members and will invite them to be part of the jury and participate in the voting.
- Being a member of the jury and representing an architectural studio/company does not precludethe submission ofprojects inthe contest designed by that studio/company. In such a situation, during avote involving projects designed by that studio, the jury member abstains from voting.
THE WINNER SELECTION PROCEDURE – THE VOTING
- The voting will take place in two stages.
- In the first stage, onesection of the jury, i.e. the architects, will select the three best projects for each category. The voting will take place at a meeting held in Warsaw by the Organiser.
- In the second stage, all the jury members will choose the single winning project out of the three best projects for each category. The voting will take place at alarger meeting held in Warsawby the Organiser.
- The Organiser reserves the right not to award prizes in any category.
THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE RESULTS
- The public announcement of the winners will take place at the award ceremony during the Architecture Festival, which will take place on September 19th, 2018. The Organiser is entitledto publish the names of the winners in its own channels of communication (in ‘Eurobuild CEE’ magazine, on the architecture.eurobuildconferences.com andwww.eurobuildcee.com websites, in its newsletter) and in partners’ mass media.
- The winners have the right to use the titlespresented to them by the Organiser together with the ‘Eurobuild Award’ logo for the promotional purposes ofthe company,under the condition that the year of the award is included in each item of information where it appears as well as the Organiser’s full name,i.e.Eurobuild Conferences.
STAGES AND DATES
- Selection of the composition of the jury – July 2018
- Project registration – from July 1st to August 17th, 2018
- First stage of voting – September 5th, 2018
- Second stage of voting – September12, 2018
- The announcement of the results and winners, during the Architecture Festival on September 19th, 2018 at Pin-Up Studio in Warsaw.
PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
The Organiser will be the administrator of the personal data provided by the participants, i.e. the members of the jury and representatives of the companies involved in the registration of projects and/or companies nominated.
The personal data will be processed for the competition’s ranking and marketing purposes. The provision of personal data is voluntary but is necessary for participating in the event. Participants providing personal data are entitled to access their data, correct it and to request its removal.
Changes to the regulations and a detailed schedule will be announced on the event’s website and distributed to participants via e-mail.
